Cradley looked lively from
the start with Thomas Fairclough and Ben Finch quickly closing
down the Welland play. Cradley passing the ball well and playing
some excellent football, came close to scoring on a few occasions
with some shots from Ben Finch and Thomas Fairclough, their chances
however were well dealt with by the Welland goalkeeper.
Welland attacked well but
their efforts were dealt with by a solid defence of Max Middlebrook
and Isaac George alongside some good saves by Kurt Poppleton.
Cradley started the second
half much the same and deservedly took the lead when following
some good work by Kieran Harte, who impressive in midfield, fired
a powerful shot which was fumbled by the keeper and followed up
by Thomas Fairclough.
The second came shortly after,
when following a good move from a corner Ben Finch swung in a
great ball from the left for Josh Davies to fire home.
Cradley had chances to go
further ahead with a cracking header from Thomas Fairclough just
going wide and some fine shots from Ben Finch who provided a strong
performance throughout the match. However it was Thomas Fairclough
who clinched the third following some good individual play and
an excellent run finished well to make it three.
