The match started fairly
equal with both sides attacking strongly but Oldburys attack were
closed down and dealt with well by Cradleys defence.
Cradley had the more play
and chances within the first half and were unlucky when they found
themselves a goal down through a defensive error.
Nevertheless Cradley continued
their good play and came close following a long kick from Cradley
keeper Kurt Poppleton into the Oldbury goal mouth, Thomas Fairclough
controlled the ball and had a good shot which hit the bar.
Cradley then got their deserved
equaliser coming from a cracking free kick from Piers Kirk Patrick
Jones which Thomas Fairclough turned and fired home.
The second half saw Cradley
continue to attack and after a few chances being denied Thomas
Fairclough latched on to a good ball from Josh Davies and finished
well to make it two.
Oldbury had a chance to
draw level when they were awarded a penalty for a hand ball in
the box but shot wide.
Cradley then secured the
win when following some good individual play by Ben Finch played
a great ball in for Josh Davies to finish.
Strong performances from
Ben Finch in midfield and Piers Kirk-Patrick Jones closing down
the Oldbury play ensured a good performance and win from Cradley.
