In a match where both teams
provided an excellent display of football, Evesham started the
liveliest with some good passing which was well dealt with by
Isaac George and Max Middlebrook.
Kieron Harte was strong in
midfield and provided some good balls through for Josh Davies
but Eveshams solid defence proved hard to break down.
Following some good work
Evesham took the lead midway through the first half and followed
up with a fine shot to make it two before half time.
The second half saw some
changes to the Cradley team who then dominated the play for the
majority of the half. Cradley had numerous chances and deserved
the goal that came from a header by Thomas Fairclough, this lifted
Cradley further and they continued dominating the play.
Cradley came close to scoring
with a cracking shot from Ben Finch which hit the bar and a well
taken in swinging corner again by Finch which just sneaked past
the post, although they continued to press for the equaliser the
game ended 2-1.
