Cradley provided an excellent
display of entertaining football in a game in which they dictated
the play for the majority of the game.
The match started with Cradley
passing and linking up well to create some opening chances but
Ombersleys goalkeeper pulled off some fine saves. Kurt Poppleton
was superb playing just in front of the defence and prevented
any attacks from Ombersleys forwards getting near the box.
Cradley should have been
in front at half time with numerous chances from Ben Finch, Josh
Davies and Thomas Fairclough but Ombersleys keeper seemed to prove
unbeatable.
In the second half Cradley
made some changes and then dominated the play with Ombersley contained
in their own half except only for two occasions, where Kieron
Harte and Isaac George reacted well in defence and Kurt Poppleton
now in goal saved well and especially an on target powerful free
kick.
Cradley continued to press
and their good display was rewarded when following some good work
and an excellent cross from Piers Kirk Patrick-Jones, Thomas Fairclough
followed in to make it one nil.
Cradley had numerous chances
from Thomas Fairclough and Josh Davies with some excellent link
up play between Ben Finch and Piers Kirk-Patrick Jones in midfield,
but Ombersley held on to not concede further.
