In one of Cradleys best performances
to date was a game in which the score did not reflect the play.
Cradley started the liveliest
with some excellent passing and entertaining play, however when
Oldbury broke and a good cross came into the box, a penalty was
awarded for hand ball.
Piers Kirk Patrick-Jones
was unlucky not to save the penalty after getting a hand to the
shot.
Cradley continued to pass
the ball around well and came close to levelling the score before
half time.
The second half saw Cradley
press forward for an equaliser but were unfortunately caught on
the attack which lead to number two. Cradley should have scored
with some excellent balls crossed on the left from Ben Finch into
the box and some good play from Josh Davies.
Apart from the two goals
Cradleys defence were solid and some excellent saves were made
by Piers Kirk Patrick –Jones to prevent conceding further.
An individual all round battling performance by Ben Finch in midfield
and an excellent team display from Cradley deserved more from
the match.
