New
team Cradley Sports Club started their first season in the Mercian
Boys League U9's in excellent style with a 4-0 away win against
Oldbury Park Stripes.
The match started with good
attacking play from Cradley with Ben Finch scoring a long range
short followed by Taine Lochhead firing in from close range to
make it 2-0 in the first 10 minutes.
Cradley continued to attack
well but Oldbury's keeper pulled off some fine saves, however
just before half time following some good movement and passing
Ben Finch again scored a long range shot to make it 3.
In the second half Oldury
pushed forward with a few shots going just wide or being well
saved by Kurt Poppleton in the Cradley goal.
Cradley continued to drive
forward but again had many shots well saved, until following some
good work by Piers Kirk-Patrick Jones, Josh Davies was released
to fire home number 4.
