CUP MATCH Cradley marched on to the semi-final of the cup with a hard fought win over a very strong spirited Droitwich team. On a very heavy pitch the game was quite evenly matched although it was Cradley who had the best of the chances with Ben Finch hitting the post early on and then the crossbar. Josh Davies was making some good strong runs and trying to find Charlie Jones up front but there was no way through a resilient Droitwich defence. The second half saw much of the same with Droitwich having a few more attacks, but Isaac George and especially Piers Kirk-Patrick Jones in defence protected Kurt Poppletons goal well. Then, just as extra time seemed inevitable, a run and shot from Ben Finch managed to squirm away from the keepers grasp and ended up in the goal for a last minute winner. Cradley move into the semi final but credit to Droitwich for providing a great cup tie. click here to go back to under 10's homepage
