CUP SEMI FINAL The game started lively with both sides pressing forward, Cradley were unlucky within the first few minutes with efforts from Ben Finch and Charlie Jones, but it was Cradleys keeper Kurt Poppleton who then had to pull off a few good saves, with a powerful free kick and then two successive corners which Poppleton tipped over the bar to deny the home team. Cradley then upped the pressure and came close but Droitwichs keeper proved unbeatable. The second half saw Cradley dominate the half and they were unlucky with numerous chances again either well saved or well defended by their strong defence. After some good play Finch swung in a super corner which Josh Davies fired into the roof of the net, further chances came from Man of the Match Piers Kirkpatrick-Jones, Charlie Jones and Ben Finch whose efforts hit the bar and the post and seemed destined not to go in. Cradley continued to attack until the very end and were unlucky to only come away with the one goal but a great performance earned their place in the final.
