Despite awful weather conditions, both teams provided an excellent display of football. Both teams were equally matched and dominated different parts of the match. Oldbury took the lead with a good finish and then after some good passing Cradley equalised through a good shot from Ben Finch, Cradley increased lead shortly after with another strike from a tight angle from Finch. Cradley had opportunities to increase further before the break with good efforts by Josh Davies and Charlie Jones. Following some good Oldbury Play a powerful shot drew it back level, Cradley continued to attack and were rewarded through a goal from Charlie Jones, Oldbury then hit back with their number 3. Both teams battled to take the points and it looked that Cradley were going to steal the day with Thomas Fairclough firing home with only a couple of minutes to go. However Oldbury showed great character and hit back with practically the last strike of the game. Special mention should go to Kurt Poppleton whose handling despite the conditions was superb and who pulled off a cracking diving save to deny a power shot from Oldbury.
