In a well matched entertaining game, a draw was a fair result as both teams battled until the end.

Bromyard took Cradley by surprise and the first few minutes Cradley struggled to get them out of their goal area, this caused some confusion and when Cradley tried to strike the ball away it ended up in their own net.

This then woke Cradley up and they started attacking well especially with Jade Allard making some good runs, after some link up play with Beth Finch who did a stirling job in midfield throughout the match, Cradley had a couple of efforts saved or just shot wide, the first half finished one nil to Bromyard.

Following some changes Cradleys attack was very strong in the second half with Louise Morgan making some excellent runs with some great passing between her, Allard and Finch, this play lead to Kaitlin Adair striking home to make the score equal.

Bromyard then upped their tempo and equalised, following a corner Amy Barrett pulled off a great save but the deflection then saw it hit the net. Cradley then hit back following a good run from Louise Morgan which was well set up by Beth Finch, Cradley could have taken the lead further with two good chances from Jade Allard, however the match ended two all.

Credit to Kaitlin Adair and Charlotte Bridges for a great effort in their first match, Amy Barrett for pulling off some superb saves in goal being the reserve goalie and to Charlotte Thomson for being voted “girl” of the match.

Well done to all the girls, a great performance.
